Mirrors

The mirrors of the soul,
when filled with the Spirit of God,
reflect myriad colors and dimensions.....

Rich hues and glistening light.....
beyond what the mind comprehends.

As His Spirit moves within a life,
that life is as a living, revolving, glass ball
with many facets of light.....

Beautiful to see.....
A kaleidoscope of God's glory
resting there and causing change.

The beauty of the Lord in residence.....

"Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works
and glorify your Father in heaven."

Gossip

Gossip seems to sneak around.....
Behind one's back it can be found!
It starts a fire which won't go out
And really is a gadabout!

Lots of times it isn't true
And isn't worth the time to chew.
It can "upset the apple cart",
And many troubles it will start.

Do not speak what may be "hearsay".
Only truth should we convey.
True friends won't repeat a matter.
Neither will they lie or flatter.

When gossip rears it's ugly head,
Do not share what has been said.
From memory let the words erase
And thereby offer love and grace.

"He who covers a transgression seeks love,
but he who repeats a matter separates the
best of friends."

"Where there is no wood, the fire goes out;
and where there is no talebearer, strife ceases."

Early Lessons

A little boy went off to school
To learn about the Golden Rule.
The book he read was "Pilgrim's Progress".
Bible truths he could express.

The Ten Commandments then were taught
And students learned them as they ought.
Godly standards were the measure.
And classrooms then were full of "treasure".

The freedoms which those children had
Have been denied the current grad.....
The culture that we have today
Has made bad choice and lost it's way.

America, you've come too far
Away from who you really are.
Godly men who fled oppression
Founded you through intercession.

Faith in God will heal our nation
And restore our firm foundation.
If in God we trust and wait
Prayer and faith will keep us great.

"Through God we will do valiantly, for it
is He who shall tread down our enemies."
Psalm 60:12 NKJ

Heaven's Song

A golden strand of worship
Is threaded through my day,
Woven in the fabric
Of all I think or say.

Rejoicing in my heart abounds
As God brings forth rich melodies.
In my spirit I hear sounds
Of harps and choirs and symphonies.

Sweet music flows throughout my day
And gathers deep within my soul.
All my song shall be to Him.
With joy His Name I will extol.

This joy that flows from God above.....
What sweet expression of His love.
