A Blessed Path
'Tis wisdom to inquire of God
Each step along the way,
For He will guide and guard our path
And keep our feet from going astray.
For error leaves behind a trail
We sometimes find we can't erase.
When we strike out without direction
What pain and sorrow we must face.
Simple is the path He gives us,
...Though hard work it may take.
If we but follow His design,
Of special blessings we partake.
If we've strayed or missed the mark,
Broken pieces He will mend,
He will forgive and lift us up,
His grace and mercy He will send.
We have a very caring God
Who wants for us the very best.
What a joy to live for Him
And by His gracious hand be blessed!
"Teach me Thy way, O Lord;
and lead me in a plain path...."
Psalm 27:11 RSV

This Tiny Boy
Not very old was this little boy...
Just two and a half, but oh, what a joy!
He was playing outside when he found a plum.
He smiled very brightly. His eyes said, "Yum-yum".
We told him that this was the wrong kind.
These were the kind that birds like to find.
He threw up his arms with a plum in each hand,
Calling, "Here, birdie, birdie," in child-like command.
But the birds were so high in the trees that day,
They did not hear... they were too far away.
His little arms got tired and dropped to his side.
He said, "Can't reach. Can't reach"... though he tried.
How touching to see this sweet little boy
With his arms lifted up and his face filled with joy.
He already knew about how birds could fly,
But then he was sad that they flew so high.

My Strength
Lord.....
You are My footing.....
my firm foundation.....
You are that safe place to stand
when everything is shifting.....
Where I cannot be intimidated by the enemy.....
Where I will not lose my footing.....
Where I may find courage.....
Where I will not fail,
but may have confidence
You are my strength.....
"It is God Who arms me with strength and makes my
way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
and sets me on my high places." Psalm 18:32 NKJ

A Heart Of Rare Worth
Silver floss and golden threads
Are woven in the heart,
Many strands of greatest worth.....
The Master's priceless art.
Insight upon insight, and
Godly thought on thought
Combined to stitch a rare design
And priceless beauty brought.
With filigree of grace and mercy,
Softest color, gentlest hue,
Interwoven love and beauty.....
Jesus' handiwork in view.
All the riches in the world
Could not ever match its price,
For in this heart of rarest worth
Only heaven's riches will suffice.
"My heart rejoices in the Lord....."
I Samuel 2:1 NKJ
